Очень горестная и одновременно увлекательная проза. Эту книгу я читала несколько раз. В ней очарование природы и старых традиций Китая, беды семьи во времена маоистского режима, воспоминания тонко чувствующего человека в жестокую эпоху. Некоторые моменты очень тяжело читать, откладываешь книгу, но все равно возвращаешься к ней. Прекрасный, легкий поэтический язык.
